The Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences seeks to appoint a Research Associate in Translational Bioanalysis to join an interdisciplinary research team developing and evaluating innovative biologics, nanomedicines and advanced therapeutic platforms. Working within a dynamic translational research environment, you will contribute to the development, optimisation and application of analytical methods for the characterisation of biologics and complex pharmaceutical systems.

You will possess a science-based education to PhD level, with expertise in bioanalysis, pharmaceutical sciences, analytical chemistry, molecular biology, or a related discipline. The successful candidate will have substantial laboratory experience in the application of analytical techniques for the characterisation of biological molecules, nanoparticle systems, proteins, antibodies and/or advanced therapeutics. Experience in method development, data analysis and interpretation, and the operation of advanced analytical instrumentation is essential.

Working collaboratively with academic, clinical and industrial partners, you will support multiple research projects, contribute to publications and funding applications, and assist in developing new analytical capabilities within the research group. You will be highly organised, motivated, and capable of working independently whilst contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

This post is of 24 months duration in the first instance and may be extended subject to project funding.
