The Information Services Directorate is seeking to appoint two Strathclyde students as Library / IT Student Ambassadors, in a role which enhances service provision to our new and existing students. Tasks include conducting library tours, locating books and electronic resources, helping self-service with Wi-Fi configuration and demonstrating Library self-service equipment and the student printing service. Our Ambassadors support the IS Enquiries team by queue-busting at busy times and through roving and dealing with first line and directional enquiries when working on the Library floors. There is a requirement for stock work too, including the re-shelving of books. There will be opportunity to become involved in Library projects and UX studies designed to introduce new, and to improve existing, services. You will be a good team player, will show initiative in suggesting areas for improvement from a customer perspective, be able to work across teams and be able to demonstrate empathy with customers and effective customer care skills.

Interviews are scheduled to take place on 12 and 13 August 2025.
