Salary: £31,396 – £34,980

The role of Department Administrator is important within the Architecture Department. This role is a key position within the administrative team, providing a managing role to the team and dedicated and effective support across all Departmental activity. You will ideally have experience of the general workings and responsibilities of an administrative team within Higher Education in a similar role or at a level just below this role and be ready to step up to the additional responsibilities of this role. This will include dealing with student personal circumstances, attending various meetings within the department and faculty setting, providing minutes, invitations, requesting agendas and papers for meetings. The role will liaise with the Admissions team in the recruitment processes and offer support to both new and existing students. The role will also include involvement in the recruitment of staff, and engagement of external assistants, tutors and guests. The post holder will manage the activities around the boards of examiners and liaise with the various professional bodies.
