The Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy & Biomedical Sciences (SIPBS) wishes to appoint suitably qualified staff to a Teaching Associate position in Biomedical Sciences, preferably within pharmacology and/or biochemistry. This is on a full-time, fixed-term basis (2 year in the first instance). The position also requires some teaching at overseas partner universities (3 week blocks) as part of the remit. SIPBS is ranked in the top fifty globally for pharmacy and pharmacology. The successful candidates will join an energetic and innovative Institute committed to bold and innovative research and education. Teaching in biomedical sciences is accredited by both the Institute of Biomedical Sciences and the Society of Biology and in Pharmacy is fully accredited by the General Pharmaceutical Council. Our research operates under the headline New Medicines, Better Medicines, Better Use of Medicines and our research strength was highlighted by the 2014 UK Research Assessment Exercise in which we were placed fourth of 94 on research power (Unit of Assessment 3).

You will have a degree in Biomedical Sciences and a PhD or equivalent teaching experience.
