The Department of Computer & Information Sciences and The Department of Marketing in partnership with Adimo (www.adimo.co) is seeking to appoint a Data Scientist (KTP Associate) to focus on state-of-the-art NLP techniques to understand the core properties of recipe ingredients and associated customer behaviour. Adimo is live in over 50 countries worldwide so it’s important that the solution is multi-lingual, performant and scalable.

Adimo is a leading consumer goods marketing technology company. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to create technology that is used by millions of people worldwide and develop a product that is the first of its kind.

You will be based predominantly at the company’s premises in Glasgow, but will be employed by and have access to facilities of the University of Strathclyde including Archie West Supercomputing Centre. Drs. Dmitri Roussinov (from CIS) and Graeme McLean (from Marketing) will provide academic support for the project.  

A key feature of the KTP position is a personal training and development allowance that you can use to develop skills related to the project that will help you to advance your career. You will also have the opportunity to register for a research degree (free of charge) based on the work carried out on the project.
