FTE:1 x Full time (35 hours) / 1 x Part-time (17.5 hours)     

Term: Fixed Term (9 months) with indicative funding for 2 years

Do you have a track record of delivering effective participation activity and working with key stakeholders? Are you approachable, courageous, optimistic, compassionate, innovative and determined? Then this new and exciting opportunity to work as a key part of Children & Young Person’s Centre for Justice (CYCJ) is for you. 

 

As the Participation Adviser, you will support the delivery of an ambitious participation strategy for CYCJ, be part of the ‘Reimagining Justice’ service, link with our Youth Justice Voices Project/STARR and help embed participation and the voice of lived experience across the youth justice sector.

 

You will have proven ability in engaging and building effective working relationships at all levels and a demonstrated ability to work autonomously. You will be able to communicate effectively to engage with children and young people with experience of the care and justice systems in order to amplify their voice and support systems change. You will be part of the participation team and work closely with CYCJ staff who will lead on the delivery of a wide range of projects and programmes.

 

You will be a self-starter who likes to be part of a team and who relishes challenges. You will require flexibility in your approach including working outside of an office environment.

 

The post holders will report to the deputy director. Secondments are welcome for both Part-Time and Full-Time posts.  We would be grateful if you could state which role you wish to be considered for in your application.
