Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the post of Lecturer in Mathematics or Statistics in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. The successful applicant will have responsibilities for teaching, research, knowledge exchange and administration. The applicant should have strong research interests Applied Mathematics and/or Statistics. The Department has a wide range of research interests including applied analysis, numerical analysis, stochastic analysis, applied mathematics, scientific computing and their applications to finance, industry, mathematical modelling, complex networks, spatial and time series modelling and epidemiology and population dynamics. The applicant should also have a strong interest in teaching and postgraduate supervision. One responsibility of the post will be to provide academic oversight of our masters degree in Quantitative Finance and so it would be highly desirable that the candidate should have a background in stochastic processes/ statistics/probability/mathematical finance and/or a willingness to develop their research in this direction.
