Applications are invited for a highly motivated Technician to join the Future Manufacturing Research Hub in Continuous Manufacturing and Advanced Crystallisation (CMAC; www.cmac.ac.uk) at the University of Strathclyde. CMAC is a large dynamic Centre located across 7 UK universities with the physical hub located at the University of Strathclyde. The post holder will have a HND level qualification in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, physical science or related discipline and related experience of equipment development, design and fabrication. Experience of modelling related to process engineering (such as CFD) would be advantageous.

You will be a hands on practitioner with the ability to design, test, modify and implement improved equipment capabilities for use in small scale manufacture of pharmaceuticals. The successful candidate will contribute significantly to the technical development of microfactories for pharmaceutical development and manufacturing applications.

You will have excellent written, verbal and graphical engineering skills, with the ability to demonstrate prioritisation and scheduling of your own workload. Candidates must have strong problem solving abilities, demonstrating innovation and creativity in dealing with research challenges.
