Salary range: £30,434 per annum

Applications are invited for a Research Associate to work under the supervision of Prof Einar Steingrimsson on the EPSRC grant "The Möbius function of the poset of permutations". Research on this topic has been ongoing for the last decade or so, mostly in the last five years. For the state of the art, and references to further work, see for example the following papers:

Your broad objective is to work with the PI to extend and deepen the known results in this area. You will have suitable research experience in Algebraic/Topological Combinatorics as witnessed by high quality publications or preprints. You must also have programming experience, as the work will require writing code and using mathematical software systems such as SAGE.
