Applications are invited for a Research Associate with experience in process analytical chemistry to work in the EPSRC Continuous Manufacturing and Advanced Crystallisation (CMAC) Future Manufacturing Research Hub led by the University of Strathclyde. The Hub comprises a multidisciplinary team of academics and researchers located across seven universities within the UK providing a platform for collaborative research, training and knowledge exchange in the area of advanced pharmaceutical manufacturing. CMAC at the University of Strathclyde is located in the Technology and Innovation Centre (TIC) and has world-class manufacturing research facilities including a comprehensive suite of process analytical technologies.

You will work on the Grand Challenge project ‘Rapid performance based design and continuous manufacture of structured particle based products’. Your role will be to implement in situ measurements and associated multivariate analysis procedures to enable the development, monitoring and control of integrated continuous manufacturing platforms in laboratory-scale microfactories. You will be required to work as part of a team and will have extensive interaction with industrial partners.

You will have a good honours degree and PhD (or equivalent professional experience) in an appropriate discipline such as chemistry or chemical engineering (or allied subjects). Knowledge of process analytical technologies and chemometrics is essential.
