The Counselling Unit is a centre of excellence for humanistic approaches to counselling and psychotherapy, and in particular, for advancing Person-Centred/Experiential Counselling. We are currently seeking to appoint two fixed term, part time Teaching Associates, one being to cover a period of maternity leave.
As part of a teaching team, the postholder will contribute to our full-time BSc Psychology and Counselling and MSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy courses. The post-holder will play a key role in the delivery of Person-Centred/Experiential counselling training, delivering a range of established teaching, undertaking student assessment and where appropriate provide supervision of students’ counselling practicum experiences providing direction, support and guidance.
Applicants will be experienced practitioners of the Person-Centred/Experiential approach with experience of teaching/training in a professional/educational context. You will have a good honours degree and PhD (or equivalent professional experience) in a relevant subject, plus a relevant postgraduate qualification.
An early September start is sought.
